Abstract:
The project with US Bank involved revisiting the bank’s Web site and evaluating it for usability issues that spanned both content and layout. The aim was to streamline the site to make it navigation easier for customers, encouraging customers to bank online and to convert visitors to the site to customers. As in the case of any transactional site, the task (of streamlining content and easing navigability) has to be carried out without eclipsing or holding back any of the products or services that the bank offers. The aim of the evaluation/analysis is to develop a set of heuristics for individual business lines within the bank so that they can create content that meets customer needs within the usability paradigm.
